Under Pressure

Have you ever felt like you were under pressure? Have you felt like you have so much to do and everything is coming at you at one time. How about being pulled in different directions, deadlines to meet and on top of that you have an obligation to yourself and family that you ignore and put on the back burner. Well first I want to say stop what you are doing , breathe and slow down. Just take a pause for the cause. I had to learn to do this. I would feel so pressured until I would start crying, my anxiety would take off and here comes the panic attack. Then I stopped and a small voice said , " you are putting pressure on yourself because you are trying to please everybody".All pressure, I learned is not bad though. Sometimes pressure is necessary. As I was thinking about my pressure situations, a pressure cooker came to mind. I love cooking in a pressure cooker. When the heat is turned up in our lives from the pressures of life just know you will come through and all will be well. At one point the pressure was so heavy in my life it felt like a weight was on me and the walls were closing in. As I released it all to God I felt a peace come over me. I encourage you to press through the pressure. I also had to plan and prioritize. I had to understand that someone else emergency does not warrant an emergency for me. I had to stop winging things and plan things out. These are ways pressure can be released and erased out of your life. Trying to please people will have you under pressure because people will make you feel obligated to help them, do for them, pay their bills because they have mismanaged money, keep their children.... Come on now, dont let people put pressure on you. It's ok to say NO. Listen pressure will come from different directions but its how you handle it. Let's look at the word PRESSURE. You see PRESS and SURE. We have to PRESS through and be SURE without a doubt that God will work things out. To those who are feeling under pressure, keep pressing, Watch things turn around.Stay focused and never lose hope.
